When making the shift from classroom teacher to technology leader, I must carefully plan out my intentions. Integrating technology is great when done with a focus on improving student achievement. We cannot accomplish this goal by allowing our teachers to superficially digitize what we are already capable of doing with pen and paper. We must educate our staff members and work alongside them to create authentic learning experiences that push students to collaborate, think creatively, inventively, and critically, and apply proposed solutions to real problems.
